As this is an international school, the names of the years are known by several names. The years are as follows:

Prep Year (aka Pre-Freshman)
This is an optional year, at age 14. It is usually taken as a preparation for the school, usually by those who have never lived and studied away from home before. The students take two minors, one of which will become their major after this year. Each new student shares a room with a Soph or above for the first term.

First Year (aka Freshman)
The first main year, usually at age 15. Students take a major and two minors. Each new student shares a room with a Soph for the first term.

Second Year (aka Sophomore)
The same as first year. Age 16.

Third Year (aka Junior)
Students can drop a minor this year. Age 17

Fourth Year (aka Senior)
Students can drop their second minor if they wish. Age 18.

Fifth Year (aka Graduate)
Students can stay on for a final, graduate year if they wish. They drop all academic subjects to concentrate intensively on their major. Age 19.
