IT WON'T BE LONG before your name is up in lights. That is, if your a student at New York Performing Arts Academy. Located in Manhattan, New York Performing Arts Academy is a boarding school with an almost college size campus. The main building consist of academic classrooms, and art studios. There are four dormitories stretching over two blocks. Closest to the school are the dorms for younger students- the Graham (for girls) and the Armstrong (for boys). The Garland and Sinatra are farther away. NYPAA is best known for its exemplary training for young artist, all while keeping them up to high academic standards. Students at NYPAA choose from acting, dance, music, or vocal majors their freshman year (or later if their transfers). To be accepted into this prestigious school, often compared to Julliard, all students must go through a rigorous two-day audition, and write an essay about what they think they could bring to the school. Students exemplify passion, determination, and responsibility on a daily basis to stay apart of the pre-professional program. While all this is good and fine, what most people don't realize is the crazy amount of backstabbing, lies, and rivalries that you'll find around every corner of the school. Many will do anything it takes to get to the top. Friendships are formed, relationships are torn apart, dreams are realized, and the NYPAA kids make memories that will last a lifetime. The acting majors definetley aren't the only ones getting a taste of drama. |
It's brand new. I've been working on it for a while, but don't have a lot of the graphics and such done yet. So, definetly check it out, and suggestions are welcome in the 'suggestions' thread.
